What is a DISC Analysis?

DISC is a method that provides insight into behavior. Through a questionnaire, you discover your own behavioral style, and with the accompanying explanation, DISC also helps you understand the behavior of others.

The DISC model is an analysis that applies to both personal development and the development of an entire team. It provides insight into an individual’s behavioral and communication preferences, mapping out personality traits. This is represented through four different colors that visualize personality styles:

  1. Red (Dominance)
  2. Yellow (Influence)
  3. Green (Steadiness)
  4. Blue (Conscientiousness)

These styles are based on two axes: extrovert vs. introvert and task-oriented/rational (thinking) vs. people-oriented/emotional (feeling).

DISC provides insight into your personality, including how you handle challenges, persuade others, deal with change, and understand your behavioral preferences or style.

DISC can be used in various ways and for multiple purposes:
